Sorry I haven't posted in forever.  That last little bit of summer was just so busy. I think that instead of taking up all kinds of space on my xanga with pics from turkey what I'll do is build an outside site and link to it.  Plus I'm thinking about switching over to Myspace.  Most of the people I know on xanga also have Myspace acounts, and many of my friends have Myspace with no xanga.  The only annoying thing is that your blog doesn't automatically come up.  It's a lot easier to just go look at someones site, read their entry title, and leave if nothing sounds interesting.  Oh well I guess life is filled with those hard choices.  Reality is this about as important as deciding between Chicken Salad or Ham and Cheese. I promise I'll get my Turkey pics up though.  Somewhere.

Alright, disregard the last entry.  I wasn't able to get it to work. Here are a few pics from the airport and our night in Istanbul.

The team at the airport. From right to left: Wallace (Keith) Martin, Me, John Corder, & John Ferrer.

John Ferrer getting the wand.

The approach to Istanbul.

After being picked up at the Istanbul airport, our driver backed into someone.  The other guy insisted on calling the Polis. If you look really closely you will notice that the left side of his license plate is lower than the right. That's the only damage.  We waited thirty minutes before we could leave the parking deck.

It took us 15 minutes to figure out that in order for your air conditioning and lights to work, you must insert your key in this slot.

John C. and my hotel room. Don't worry their are two beds you just can't see one because of camera angle.

The view from our window. Pray for Istanbul, it is a city of 15 million people and almost all are non-believers.

A war monument in Taksim, an area not far from our hotel.

Well I've got to go right now.  I'll post more later.

Currently listening to: Turkish music videos

Hey Everybody,

I have safely made it to Turkey.  If this looks weird, it is because the keyboard is different and I'm guessing at what some of these keys are.  I have other people waiting on the computer, so I will signoff now.  I will post more indepth info tomorrow.  Hopefully I will have some pics with it.

Hey Everybody

I know it's been a while since I've posted, but I've been really busy with school and work. Well the day has finally come.  I leave today at 2:00 for the airport, and fly at 5:10 for Turkey. I'm going to try and update this at least every other day while I'm over there. Please be praying for me and for the team.  There are four of us: Myself, John, Keith, and John. Please be praying that we will have a positive impact on the Kurds. Pray for their government, that it would become less restrictive and that it's leaders would become Christians. I'll post some pics in a couple of days. Thank you all.

P.S.- Some great resources for praying for Kurds:
